Q: What languages does powerDRAW.net support?

A: powerDRAW.net is only available in ENGLISH (it will not work with a non-English OS or a non-English Visio, at this time).

Q: Can I get a trial version of Microsoft Visio to try?

A: Yes. Get started at the Microsoft Visio page.

Q: What versions of Microsoft Visio does powerDRAW.net work with?

A: The current release of powerDRAW.net 3.1 (b151) works with Microsoft Visio Standard 2010 (32 bit), 2007 or 2003.

Q: Does powerDRAW.net work with Visio 2010 64 bit?

A: No. The current release of powerDRAW.net is not designed to work with the Visio 64 bit version. However, we do have a beta version in development that is available upon request.

Q: Why do I get a "Visio must be installed" error when I try to install powerDRAW.net even though Visio is installed?

A: Visio must be installed on C: to the default location for powerDRAW.net to be able to find it.

Q: Does the price of powerDRAW.net include Visio?

A: No. You must own or acquire a legal license of Microsoft Visio separately from purchasing powerDRAW.net.

Q: Why is powerDRAW.net a Microsoft Visio add-on rather than a stand-alone well schematic program?

A: We think Visio rocks and is the most capable schematic tool available. Visio together with powerDRAW.net, gives you easy to create, industry leading graphics.

Q: Is powerDRAW.net similar to Microsoft Excel wellbore schematic programs?

A: Because powerDRAW.net is based on vector graphics and Visio is a drawing program rather than a spreadsheet, it is a far superior solution than any Excel wellbore schematic programs available.

Q: What permissions to you need to install and run powerDRAW.net?

A: If installing on Windows 7 or Vista, powerDRAW.net can be installed and run as a non-admin user, If installing on Windows XP, powerDRAW.net must be installed and run as either a Power User or Administrator as XP lacks the UAC.

Specifically, to run correctly on Windows XP, powerDRAW.net (b151b or older) requires Read-Write permission for the folder: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\C-mach and all its sub-folders.
